Useless lump out, useful lump in. Now for wiring.

Damn, the tractor lives and so do you! Long time no see!

Yeah it’s been awhile.

Wheel Horse?!
Are you rebuilding the original engine? That’s one from the AMC years I think.

Yup, they’re great tractors, and originally made in Indiana.
No, I’m going to sell it to someone who wants it. It was rebuilt before I got it, but the ignition is out, and that ignition system is unreliable. So for what it would cost to repair or refit to another system, I got a solid engine that's almost a drop in replacement.

Because Racetractor?
I didn’t know Kohler made engines, I thought they only made faucets :)

That’s cool.
It’s still working that’s what really matters.

Very cool. I like tractors a lot. I just bought an old Allis Chalmers garden tractor a few weeks ago

I repowered a John Deere 420 with a 26hp Honda v-twin. You can go full Martin Riggs with it now, yanking decks off houses. Old tractors were beasts.

Nice. When I was looking for this engine, I found a 30hp? for like $1000. I was tempted. If I had been replacing the engine on the 312-8 that I have a snowblower for, I'd have been even more tempted.
